Conor McGregor’s Biggest Fight

There is no denial about how Conor McGregor becomes one of the fastest rising stars
in the world of MMA. His unique of blend of talking trash to his opponents
during the press conferences and backing it up come fight night, McGregor is
safe to say one of the most polarizing figures in the Ultimate Fighting
Championship (UFC). He is all over the sports news and you can read bio about
his life all over the net. Fans can’t get enough with the man from
Dublin’s over-the-top personality and cockiness towards his opponents.
With a record of 18-2, McGregor is an inch away of being the champion in
one of UFC’s most stacked division, the 145 lbs. division or the featherweights.

But before he can take the featherweight belt, he must first face the champion Jose
Aldo Jr. The champion from Brazil is one of the most feared men in the world of
MMA, thanks to his deadly combination of devastating striking and being a black
belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Having undefeated for almost a decade, Jose Aldo
has succeeded in defending the UFC featherweight championship 7 times dating
back April 30, 2011 when he defeated Mark Hominick in his UFC debut.

There is a lot of animosity between the two fighters since their fight was announced
early 2015. During the world tour press conference for their title clash for
UFC 189, tension arose when Conor stole the belt from the champion. Two weeks
before their scheduled fight last July, Aldo suffered a rib injury that
postponed the mega fight between two of the most gifted featherweights in the
world. An interim title fight was scheduled and Conor won against Chad Mendes
via TKO, thus making him the interim featherweight champion.

Aldo and McGregor fight was re-scheduled for December 12, 2015. Dubbed as one of the
most anticipated fights in UFC history, it will be a make or break moment for
Conor’s next fight as it will be the biggest of his MMA career. Fans around the
world will witness if there will be a crowning of a new king or the dominance
of the champion will derail the title hopes of the Notorious.
